Succulent

TGI Friday, with the weekend ahead. It has been a day of some work and more admin, sending invoices, updating accounts books and catching up on work emails. It's the more mundane nitty gritty of what being a self-employed freelance is about. I also popped out to see some friends who have been coping with recent health issues. They're doing ok, and we had coffee, a catch-up and some laughs.

I ended the day with a half hour stint in the garden, hauling out brambles and hacking back some overgrown shrubs. Very therapeutic, and a lot more of that is on the schedule for tomorrow. I am very fond of the architectural nature of spiky succulents, and this little plant is one that needed a quick repotting, so I couldn't resist making it my blip for today.

For eye appeal, I think it beats some of the more bizarre offerings in the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition on my visit there yesterday. Mother Nature is the best artist of all.
