Durian's little sister
After dinner in Ketapang we visited the local fruit sellers strung out along the road.
Many of the fruits I'd never seen before. This is a more palatable member of the durian family, with a less pungent odour and bright orange flesh. It doesn't leave you retching, which is always a bonus when eating fruit.
Durians are banned from many public places in South East Asia including, according to a sign, the lift of the hotel where we're staying. It's also prohibited to wear a helmet inside the hotel. I would dearly love to see someone in the lift, wearing a helmet and trying to eat durian.
