Not an Englishman.

There is some sort of fete getting stirred up in Mérindol this evening. Routes barréed here there and everywhere, tables spread across the street and jazz ensembles setting up under street lights.

We have small children who have set bedtimes and don't cope well with late night laissez faire continental ways so we'll be mostly at home tutting about the noise.
