Two Sides
Sometimes I forget that there are two sides to Liverpool. Every river has two banks. This picture is taken from my side, the centre, and that statue is looking across to the Wirral. At the port you can really see the history of Liverpool lies in the water, and trade was its lifeblood. Since trade slowed, it has finally managed to diversify...tourism and service industry has taken it over. And I definitely think it is for the better - so many things are being renovated and improved around the town, and things can only get even better.
Today Claire, Ste and I went for the tourist trail around the docks, had a look in a few museums and the like, and then went back to the flat for dinner before joining Thom and his workmates in the pub for the beginning of a night out. Very productive day indeed!
