Painting of fat nude lady with robin.

A painting similar to this one was displayed in the window of a framer's shop on Borgo Gianotti in Lucca for at least a year. Each time I passed it I could not help but smile. Then one day it was gone. Gone! I rushed inside the shop only to discover the painting had been sold. Sold! I could not believe it. I asked if the artist could paint another like it. No, he did not do duplicates. It was not fair to the purchaser of the original plus which it was boring.

A few months later I asked again and he said he would do something similar. This is it.
It is not as amusing as the first and rather large on cushions and short on figure but it is a sunny picture and hangs above a bedroom window where it is a morning burst of yellow when skies are grey.
