Corn Palace

I'm sure it will be nice when the renovation in complete.....

Not too many pics to choose from here. I had to laugh at this shot, since I got photobombed by one daughter as the other was taking my pic. Perfect! Just shows that we're still getting along with two days left to go in our trip. :)

We spent the night in Mitchell, SD, home of the "World Famous, One and Only Corn Palace." We were up early to see the CP before we hit the road for a big day of driving, headed home. We arrived to find the street barricaded and the front of the building under renovation or rather "corn-struction" as they like to call it. It was still cool to be there, but it could have been cooler.... The building is a concert venue, gymnasium, and event center for the area.

14 hours in the car today and we made it all the way to Laporte, Indiana. We drove in 4 states today! It was farther than we had planned but it will pay off tomorrow on the final leg of our trip.
