Mount Rushmore

Absolutely Amazing.

It was hard to choose just one pic today. We saw a buffalo heard in the morning, we drove past the Crazy Horse Monument, and after Mt. Rushmore, we drove through The Badlands. Stunning scenery everywhere. In the end though, it had to be a shot of this incredible sight. I can't believe how many "WOW" moments we've had on our trip.

We drove through torrential rain last night in Wyoming and South Dakota to get to our overnight spot in Hot Springs, SD. Thunder and lightning like you see in the movies and rain so hard we had to pull off the road at one point to wait for it to pass. Luckily we had cell service so we were able to keep track of the path of the storm AND track our progress on the map. Knowing where we were in the dark and rain was reassuring.

Skies today were mostly overcast. This shot at least has a hint of sun.
