Scaffolding is up the chimney

Here's our scaffolding that costs as much as a good holiday. It's there so the chimney stack can be replaced. That cost will equal another trip.

It's a dull, cold and blustery day here, and I have to go on a 60 mile round trip to the dentist to have a filling replaced - for the fourth time. Why 60 miles? It was the only NHS one available. To cheer myself up I went for a swim, which is supposed to be good for my knees - but it doesn't help my neck as I can't swim with my face in the water. And I have to write my introduction on Scottish Independence for our U3A Discussion Group. I'm intimidated as most of the group are very brainy men. Thankfully a fellow blipper directed me to a website that has produced a lot of good stuff. I'm going to just explain the history briefly, then have about a dozen points to think about, then leave it to them. I think I know what they'd vote if they had it.
(Just reread this and I can't believe how negative I'm being.)
