Purple towards Cheviot
I couldn't resist another blip of the moor as the heather is at its best. Not only is the colour stunning, but also, the honey perfume is so strong, even while walking in the aftermath of hurricane Bertha.
Today was supposed to have a lazy start, but the scaffolders arrived early to put up the scaffolding so that our tall chimney stack, which the sweep says is unsafe, can be replaced. I just hope it, and the scaffolding, withstand Bertha.
