My Time Abroad

Buon Appetito

To keep y'all up to date with the dinner competitions, Cohan won again last week with his chicken pie and cheese covered cauliflower or whatever fancy dish he made. He also had this really good cheese/spinach dip of some sort thats popular around here in this giant bread bowl as an appetizer < bonus points.

Anyway as winner he chose this weeks theme (countries) and I got Italy. A range of options but I decided to keep it simple yet, delicious, with my favorite kind of pasta. Penne alla vodka with peas and sausage like my motha cooks it. As you can tell by the beauty above, this was my best meal yet. I even had an appetizer of fresh mozz, tomato n basil with a balsamic drizzle. It was a hit. I'm actually getting good at cooking!!!!

Tonight, Blythe and I booked our spring break flights!!! Our break is two whole weeks so we've got 5 days in Australia and 9 days on the south island. We get to stay with my roommate from school, Haley at her school in Aussie right outside Sydney and we'll be hostel hopping on the south island with our Loyola friend Eddy from the other Massey campus, a group of his friends and hopefully me and Blythe can manage to rally some people from our campus to come with us. All our New Zealand friends are not as big on traveling/a lot of them go home to their hometowns so we're counting on the internationals.

Exciting stuff less than two weeks away! Yippee! It's so fun to travel.
