My Time Abroad

Back to Reality

I have finally found some decor for my blank wall. Notice the smooth combination of colors that don't clash at all. The dark blue New Zealand flag, the light blue sheets/pillow case and matching comforter provided by my school, and lastly the teal curtains, also provided by my school. Oh and the maroonish-purple case for my extra pillow, the last of what was in stock at k-mart.

The color combo is plain awful but I'm over it. Now I don't have to stare at that ugly blank wall.

I've been doing homework for quite a while now. Film project due this Friday, shot-by-shot analysis of a 2 minute clip (containing a total of 43 shots) consists of describing the lighting, camera movement, transition, audio, subject, angle and more for each bit of uninterrupted film before a cut occurs. In addition to that, a 750 word description of why the director chose to film it the way he did. I enjoy this type of assignment, a lot actually. But it's awfully time consuming and I saved it pretty last minute.

Then after that I've got an annotated bibliography due Sunday, 5 sources- a book, a chapter from an edited book, a magazine article, a journal entry and a website. All for a research paper in this sociology class about Identity & culture in New Zealand that I pretty much enrolled in for fun.....

Let's just say I'm not really in the school zone yet.

Kiwi Thing of the Day
Kiwi's don't indent their paragraphs when writing essays/papers.
Throws me off.
