St Patrick's, Coatbridge

I was out for a walk this evening.

Coatbridge town centre has gone downhill rapidly over the last 20 years. It used to be a thriving urban town with a good range of well established shops, now it's all 99p shops or charity shops. I guess it's the same the UK over.

One thing of note. This church almost morphs onto the main street. I've always thought it strange how it almost blends into the main pedestrian area.

Unsure if this dusk iPhone shot does it any justice? But it is cool :)

PS If you look to the right side of the church I used to live in the very last house at the very top of the hill when I was first married. I must go and blip it sometime - it was lovely.
