...the former Social Work HQ at Shrubhill has begun to disappear whilst my back was turned. Now, I know you lot don't like concrete architecture in the Brutalist style, but I'm rather a fan of concrete and I'm saddened that Taylor Wimpey or Cala or some other self awarded 5 star builder of executive housing will throw-up a faux sand stone effort to be derided a generation hence. Goodbye former supplier of late night snacks to many drunken Leithers returning from the neighbouring town of Edinburgh*


* the old 24 hour petrol station on the ground floor was a handy supplier of beer snacks of last resort in the late 1990s, or was that next to the Library?
