Smoking!

The final treat of RobT's birthday week was dinner and overnight stay at the Black Swan in Oldstead.

The Black Swan is the only Michelin starred restaurant near to York and we are lucky that its only 30 minutes away from us.

We had the tasting menu as both like to try lots of different things.

The last dessert on the tasting menu (dessert of 3) simply said in its description "Douglas Fir, lemon and sheeps milk".

I'm not sure either of us were expecting to be served a bowl of Douglas Fir branches which the waiter poured some kind of liquid on top and then the thing started smoking and formed a strange foggy tablecloth.

The actual desert of the lemon and the sheep's milk was very nice and they do get 10/1 0 for the Hogwarts magic!
