I needed a lift

My office is at the 3rd floor of the building and I always make it a point not to tire myself by using the lift. Today I was a bit disappointed as i thought the lift was broken. I pressed the button and the lift stayed at the 3rd floor for almost a minute. And then i heard this female lift voice from inside saying something that i havent heard before. I wasnt sure since it was a mumble from the outside. I concluded that something must be wrong and the lift was broken. So i had to choose to use the stairs. I walked up 3 flights of stairs and was exhausted by the time i was at the top. When i walked past the lift door, i heard the female lift robot again and it was clear she said "Ground floor...". It was then i realized the lift was not broken, it was just weirdly delayed for more than the usual time.
