Tarawera Times

Have had a really good afternoon. Tony Bridge (link) offered to give a lecture in Rotorua prior to heading off to Lake Waikaremoana for a weeks workshop. We invited neighboring clubs and had a great turnout. Tony spoke for 2 hours and you could hardly hear a pin drop for the whole time. He spoke about making our images reflect the feeling we had when we were taking them, it was not about the technical aspects but about the emotional side of photography. I have previously attend a very inspiring week long workshop with Tony and it was so good to listen to him again.

A Tarawera resident asked if I would take a photo from his property of the full moon rising tonight, arrived there soon after 5 but sadly for him the clouds were too thick to see the moon, but pretty happy with some of the images. Tony was niggling at me as I composed the shots. I liked this one of the lone fisherman.
