The fringe sea

After a wee lie-in this morning, I headed out on the bike. I thought I'd cycle to Portobello, go for a swim, then cycle home. Apparently though I'm awful at reading timetables and the pool is still being renovated. So I went for a wee cycle instead. I really missed my running today.

Anyway, afterwards it was back to the fringe. I love Edinburgh and I love the festival. But I don't love the people, the sea of people on the Royal Mile is enough to make you feel clausterphobic. I don't like crowds, but I force myself to do them from time to time so I don't end up sitting alone on a hillside all day.

Three shows today, 1 review and 2 just for fun. I participated in a festival focus group and got 2 free tickets for The Pleasance - so I picked 2 comedians I liked the look of and booked!

16. Lear's Daughters. A clever re-telling of King Lear from his daughter'a perspective. Review to be posted soon.

17. James Acaster - Recognise. Not reviewed. I randomly picked him because I thought he looked nice. Entertaining but not hilarious!

18. John Hastings - Adventure. Not reviewed. He compered at the Pleasance Press Launch and I liked him so I figured, what the hell! And I'm pleased I did, he was really good!
