Edinburgh Collection (1)- Carlton Terrace

Every time I visit Edinburgh I take a few pictures, some of which I keep, others I trash. I am however building up a small collection of scenes from what I think is one of the best cities in the world with a view to compiling a book of my favourites, purely for my own interest.I intend to share some of these images via blipfoto so here is Number 1.
Today I walked to Easter Road by Regent Terrace and then to the curved facade of Carlton Terrace. These Georgian terraces are quite superb and many of the houses have marvellous doorways, colonnaded and bearing brass plaques with inscriptions like "Mr Kerr, Advocate" as you might expect to read in a novel by Scott or Stevenson.

Football footnote - our Championship journey began with an undistinguished 2-1 win over Livingston.
