This was on the beach right next to Fisherrow earlier on, when we stopped off to take a few pictures, prior to a retail therapy visit to Fort Kinnaird for some technology stuff, and also prior to an excellent afternoon barbecue hosted by some friends who will soon be leaving Edinburgh (although since two sets of friends are moving from Edinburgh to Brighton in the next few weeks, it looks like we might soon be opening up a southern outpost).

And even earlier we took the bus up to York Place for some early morning retail therapy in John Lewis, converting some vouchers that have been lying around for ages into a wok, an ironing board cover, and a pyrex bowl.

Overall a very satisfactory day.
