Celtic Dialogues

An outstanding concert at the Usher Hall tonight. We went to see Jordi Savall, in concert with Celtic musicians, after hearing about him from Barrioboy. He was doing a completely different set to the one that Bb and Dd heard in Barcelona, but it was marvellous none the less (especially the duet of fiddle and guitar shown in the extra).

One thing that surprised me a bit was people leaving before the end. But as our taxi driver pointed out, perhaps people were needing to get away for trains, as on Sunday evenings the last trains to various places are at 10.45 and the concert continued right up until then. We're lucky, of course, living in a city the size of a postage stamp. Having left the Usher Hall at 10.45pm, we were in the flat before 11.00pm.
