After
A bit more of that picking-up-tickets-for-later-in-the-festival activity and then some free time to catch a show. By mesen, In the afternoon. A treat! A rather well-performed and sharply-written piece by Mark Ravenhill (and it seems to be on at the half-price hut every day, well worth a punt for £7).
Night out for us grown-ups, both girls away on sleepovers. Great food at Tuk Tuk then an evening at the museum. A decent mix of activities and acts and a really nice atmosphere. I was thinking whilst listening to one band however that what the place could really do with was some industrial techno DJs playing at massive volume in almost darkness with loads of projections and visuals swirling around the roof and the upper galleries, but I think that might be for a different crowd entirely! Either that or get someone like Aphex Twin to play a completely bonkers set, leaving everyone completely bamboozled. Again, maybe not really for your festival crowd...
Finished the night off with a free comedy thing at the BBC tent. Seven acts over the course of the hour with the quality being pretty high. Favourite of the night being this man.
Hours.
