Wye Blip?

We have come to Symonds Yat today, a picturesque viewpoint on the River Wye. The river here forms an almost complete loop, and 3 1/2 miles of river progresses only 1/4 mile towards the Severn.

Last time we came we started on the west side further upstream, and we were most disappointed, mainly because of the amusement arcade situated near to the river on a campsite.

This time we followed the advice of the guidebook and began on the east side, crossed by ferry, along the west bank, across by foot suspension bridge, and along the riverside footpath, which was a lovely walk.

Just before we arrived back at our starting point there are some rapids where we saw a canoe overturn, throwing its two occupants into the fast flowing water. They came up smiling though, and I captured on my camera but no my phone. The two men refused to go back and repeat it for my blip.
