Moat? Almost

I have always thought it would be good to have a moat around the cottage; today I almost got my wish! During the afternoon we had torrential rain, which resulted in the foundation area of our rebuild at the back of the house, to flood with water; several inches deep at one point. Mrs GOG has blipped the front of the house here. We thought the kitchen roof was secure, but some rain did come in so after it had stopped, donning waterproofs, I went up on the roof to make it watertight. This was successful as when it rained heavily again later in the evening the rain did not come in.
