Lovely lavender

This endeavour was entered into with much excitement....lavender rice pudding!!
When I say much excitement, I do mean only by myself. Despite the lack of strong flavour (in my
mind anyway) Alex managed one single spoon before setting the bowl aside.
I was a little disappointed he didn't share my joy but I think that's just the way we are with things & each other lately.

We did however, both head out for a bike ride to Uppermill on our bikes, soaking up the early evening sun, before indulging in some sharing platters & red wine.
We rode home in a slightly darker situation than we hoped but it was more over-shadowed by Alex's bike having flat tyres & defective brakes (causing him a much more tiring ride)

I did, much to my delight, make it up the hill (I say "hill" but it's much more of a "slight" incline...) that so dramatically beat me last month...
I must be getting a bit fitter at least!
