Skipness Castle

After our short sojourn on Arran, we returned to the mainland via the Claonaig ferry and then drove 3miles north to Skipness. Next door to the castle is the excellent Seafood Cabin where we ate al fresco lunch overlooking the castle. Idyllic. (I'll forget about the wasps).

This is R on his way back to the car. The boughs of the sycamores caught myeye.

Next we drove south down the eastern shore of Kintyre all the way to our next accommodation at Machrihanish campsite. Bleak.
