Frilly Francao
We went to pick up mum pretty early this morning as we were all going across to Liverpool to visit our youngest son and daughter in law as they have been off work this week. They have had some work done on their house and got it looking lovely, so it was time for Gran to visit for the first time! It rained on the way over but the sun came out just as we were arriving. Mum (Gran) loved their house, said she needed a map to find her way around (3 bed semi!) as it had so many rooms compared to her little bungalow. We had a lovely lazy lunch and sat in the garden chatting. 5 hours later it was time to drive mum home, needless to say we hit the rush hour traffic, and the 55 minute journey over turned into almost an hour and a half back! When we got to mums we were still full from lunch, so the sausage casserole and cheesy mash that I had made and taken over for tea got put in the fridge for today! After a cuppa, watered mums hanging baskets, took a quick couple of shots in her garden before enough time passed for the traffic to settle down! We said our goodbyes and drove home......got in at 8.05pm. It was a quick run upstairs, wash and brush up, change of top, bit of lippy, and out again for 8.25....phew! We collected our neighbours and went off to our regular Thursday night pub quiz! Guess what...... we got our highest score to date and came second, yay :-)
