Antediluvian

Based on the rather unscientific method of measuring how much water there was in the mug I left out in the garden when I dashed indoors at about 3:30, we had about 2.5 inches of rain in as many hours. I can only imagine what it was like for people who were forecast to have the brunt of the rain to the West and South of where we are. More rain than we had in the last couple of months in just a few hours!
Steve sent me some homework to do based on yesterday's lesson, which was my first main job of the day. Just waiting to hear from him whether I got it right.
This little Dunnock popped out of the hedge (they were formerly known as Hedge Sparrows) for a quick snack before the rain started. It was a close call between him and the Comma on the Buddleia
