It's raining, it's pouring....

We had a lovely morning with friends from the SWRI and their kids. I made scones, Calum made melting moments and we had the strawberry jam we'd all made from our PYO meet earlier in the summer. The kids played and we had cappuccino and cakes. It was sunny and warm, the doors were slid wide so we had the whole garden into kitchen thing going on. It was lovely.
After everyone had gone, the plan for the afternoon was to walk up Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh but we changed our mind when we saw the rain forecast. As I sit here on my stairs with this view, listening to the boys play lego, watching the rain come down and hearing the thunder rumbling by ... I am quite glad to be inside and not halfway up a hill.
