Stacked Wheat

No, it's not stacked in the physical sense but after reading a magazine article on the subject, I thought I'd have a try at focus stacking in a landscape. ie taking several shots at different focus points to get a sharp front to back image. It's more commonly used in macro imaging, but can bring benefits in landscape work.

Did it work? Possibly. Can anyone tell the difference? I'm not sure that I can see any difference between this and a conventional f8 shot. Still, I've given it a try and maybe it gives more benefit with lesser cameras than the big D800.

It's a wonderful day here but I'm not sure how the weekend's going to be. I'm heading off to Kent for the weekend tomorrow and I hope the remnants of Hurricane Bertha won't spoil the party on Saturday. There probably won't be too much in the way of commenting until I return home but I'll hope to keep the blips coming.

Hope you have a great weekend when you get to it.

David
