The Watcher from the Walls

We went to Totnes today and I had a stroll around while Lady Marian did the shops. There's loads of stuff that can be blipped there but today I thought the Castle should get the honour. It's very well hidden and you can walk all round the place looking for an alternative view but it's really only from the entrance that you get to see it properly. It doesn't have much history and it seems that each time it's rebuilt it falls into disrepair. It's usually surrendered the moment an army approaches. If you're familiar with Totnes' hippy dippy personality you'll realise that there's no change there. The biggest fight they've ever had is to keep Costa out of town.

I quite like the chap that's looking down at me. Is he watching or is he just panting for breath. I'll leave you to decide.
