Asiatic lilies

The month of June belongs to the garden, and this year has been particularly good. Although there was concern that some perennials would not survive the cold winter, the snow cover protected all but a few plants. The flowers have thrived with the wet cool spring and the cold winter took a toll on the plant eating bugs.

I had fun snapping photos of the front yard garden today as so many plants are showing their greenery at its best and the flowers are blooming. Today's best front garden blooms are the lavender, astilbe, coreopsis, echinacea, heuchera, hosta, yarrow, daisies, yarrow, poppies and asiatic lilies - to name a few. I have several different varieties and colours of most of these plants and enjoy them all.

It was hard to choose a photo today as there was so much to choose from, however, the Asiatic lilies look the best I have ever seen them, so that is my photo of the day.
