Out of balance.........

Eldest son has been on school camp this week, endeavouring to complete his silver Duke of Ed expedition.
The house has a different dynamic...something not quite right....it is out of balance.
The days have the same pattern, we still have the school drop off and pick up, but we are each a little less for his absence.
We are savouring the break with daughter home before she leaves for university and I wonder if his absence is felt more keenly because it is a portent of her impending departure.
We will need to find a new balance...like a table with one leg missing.........still upright but a little askew.....
