HareBrain 2014

A wine formidable to be created from a bumper crop of Rondo grapes at the Kerryvale Vineyard here where Redkite (a recent arrival on blip courtesy of me!!) and I spent just a perfect day. The weather was not as forecast, we must have had all that rain last night, so the sun shone all day and I got to receive all the parts of the wonderful Birthday Present which my very dear friend M, Redkite gave me as a special Birthday pressie earlier this year.

Arrival at the Vineyard;
Lunch, Roasted Parsnip Soup, g/f bread and a wonderful cheeseboard washed down with a glass of your choice of wine;
The tour of the Vineyard (so interestesting and providing such an insight into how much hard work goes into producing a bottle of wine!!);
Finally the Wine tasting - a flight of four of their award winning wines and the gift of a bottle of wine of your choice.

After the wine tasting I'm afraid I didn't choose the wine of my chosen red grape instead, a beautiful crisp white by the name of 'Shropshire Lady' - very appropriate, very light and summery and which Mr T and I will enjoy before the Summer evenings run out.
