The Debate

This Scotch Terrier on the left and the West Highland Terrier on the right, reminded me of the Referendum debate on TV last night between Alex Salmond on the left and Alastair Darling on the right of our screens in the transmission.

Visitors and a family phone call interrupted my viewing, but reading the papers this morning, the consensus seems to have been 1-0 to Darling in the No camp.

I am a poor politician or political commentator, but I have a simple gut instinct that the Yes voters are people voting from the heart, who are entrepreneurial and take risks in life, while the No camp comprise those who are less daring and prefer the status quo to rocking any boat, even though there might be green pastures beyond the coastal cliffs.

His Lordship and I are divided at the moment on the issue, and those of you who know us might be tempted to guess how each of us will vote when the time comes.
Sadly there will be no prizes awarded for guessing correctly.
