out of the shadows

Remember..........

Today, we were explaining to Oliver the significance of the "Lights Out" candlelight vigils commemorating the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.

We told him that lots of people had died to make our world a safer place and that it was important to remember them, and that lighting the candles was a way of saying thank you.

When he went to bed he said to Sarah

"Will my thinks about the soldiers go to the candle?....
and then does the candle tell the soldiers that we care about them?"

Yes, Oliver, bless your heart, I'm sure that's exactly how it works.
