Tagetes patula...

I've come to like them in my old age - we call them "French Marigolds"...

They're neither French nor Marigolds - apparently they come from the Americas wherever that might be.

"Filer à l'Anglaise" - "Take French leave" - "Capote Anglaise" - "French Letter"...

So it goes - we have much to be thankful for :o)
