It's a sign
...of a splendid Monday morning when the most energetic thing you do is put up a new house sign. Or even just take a picture of a new house sign. We have nine glorious days of no plans. And then the only real plan is welcome guests. I love the adventure, exploring holidays when we are seeing somewhere new but this complete contrast to just about every other Monday morning of the year feels like a real treat. We will wander into the old town later for some light shopping and lunch. And I might go and have a dip in the pool now. Or read my book. It feels indulgently unreal. Perhaps like the start of retirement might feel. Though I expect part of the loveliness of this is knowing that there is the busy, hubbub to return to.
Probably a good thing too. Without sandwiches to make and school runs to do and work to think about it could all get a bit philosophical.
Best go and float on an inflatable dolphin I think.

Ps - this is the name of our house in Spain. It was the name of the family that used to farm here.
