A Surprise in the "Jungle"

I raised the blinds
in my summer bedroom downstairs
to discover a party balloon
had found its way
into the jungle outside my window
Last evening's thunderstorm brought
powerful winds that cleared the house
of heat when windows and doors
were propped open
Could the storm have brought
me this odd little gift
with its colour and sparkle?
"Celebrate" it commands
while firmly wedged in my lilacs
