Grand St. Bernard Col View

You have to love this Col, so close to home, just over an hour away, but the weather can change dramatically when you cross into Italy. This evening, the curtains of rain parted, and the sun turned the lake into shimmering silver. Here you can see the 1000 year old monastery that has been a refuge for travellers in all that time. It is undergoing a face lift for its birthday in case you can see the scaffolding!
