The Great War

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the start of World War 1 and the occasion is being marked in a variety of ways throughout the country.
The original of this banner was stretched across the main street of Cambusbarron by the women of the village in September 1914 when they were already concerned about the fate of their loved ones.
This replica has been placed by the War Memorial outside the church.
