Falkland Palace
Falkland Palace (see extra picture) was a summer palace of the Stuart Monarchy in the 16th century, and was particularly a favourite of Mary, Queen of Scots. Parts of the palace today have been restored and contain some fine tapestries and portraits.
Of interest too is this building which houses the oldest Real Tennis court still in use.( see extra picture) A forerunner of lawn tennis the game is still played on the court.
