On Sanibel Island...

Left Naples this morning and took the scenic coastal route up north to Sanibel Island. The plan was to arrive at Doc Ford's Rum bar and Grille on Sanibel for 12 noon, have lunch there and watch the Belgium v Argentina game there. (It goes without saying, that I wasn't a major instigator of this plan but I do like Doc Ford's).
We got held up in traffic going through the Fort Myers beach area but made it more or less on time. Sadly the plucky Belgians lost.
We then went and got checked in, unpacked, and had a lovely relaxing afternoon chilling by the pool. Ate in a lovely little Mexican restaurant called "Fresh Taqueria" in the evening... my shrimp quesadillos were delicious!
