Brolly Spinning

A new sport to mark the Commonwealth Games coming to Scotland or an attempt to cheer up a wet Saturday? It is becoming a bit of a regular occurence of late that Saturdays are wet. It didn't dampen my spirits today however, it was lovely to have the day off work and catch up with some things that needed doing. Managed a quick walk in the evening but timed it badly as the heavens opened as I left the house. The sky was just starting to clear as darkness fell.

Returned to watch the gold medal match for the ladies hockey - England vs Australia. I'd seen the England ladies get through on Wednesday. It was a fantastic match with England in winning position until 17 seconds before the end when Australia scored. It went on to a shoot out which England lost but they still got the silver medal - a great achievement. Also enjoyed watching a local West Linton runner come 6th in the 1500 metres. I'll be sorry when the Games come to an end tomorrow. Its been exciting!
