Hampshire Bells

Vibrant purple bell heather on heathland in Hampshire.

Drove down to Hampshire with Dad today. Popped off in Liss and had coffee. Whilst we were there we were treated to a free sample of a new starter the restaurant were preparing for dinner that evening! Then we had a short walk in the heath - it was full of butterflies feeding off of the flowering heather. Then we stopped off for afternoon tea with a couple from whom I rented a cottage when I was working in Hampshire a few years ago. Lovely to see them and to sit in the afternoon sun chatting.
