London from the 35th Floor

Although we haven't actually got to Annie's birthday day yet we're celebrating through this weekend.

Today we've been in London, first for lunch in the Hotel Chocolat restaurant in Borough Market for lunch. Then it was on to the main event as we checked in for a very special one night stay in the Shangri-La hotel in the Shard. As it was Annie's birthday they gave us a free upgrade to a suite, fabulous. We took a walk over to see the poppies being beautifully arranged at the Tower of London. We had an evening meal in a restaurant set up to offer employment to London's homeless through a Social Entrepreneurs scheme.

The views from the hotel are amazing, we watched the sun go down behind the skyline. Took many photos, so hard to choose. Some more will go on Flickr next week.
