Commonwealth Games

My friend was given two tickets to the badminton quarter finals and invited me to come along. It was a good atmosphere. We cheered on the Scottish players except when they were playing against against a Canadian. We were happy when Canadian Michelle Li got through to the semi finals. The most impressive match was the mixed doubles between Malaysia and Singapore. Even though most of the crowd was from the home nations most people stayed right to the end of the match and I overheard several people saying that it was the best match of the afternoon. I liked this photo of the flags of the different countries together and felt it reflected the very essence of the games.
