Alnmouth

We had planned to spend the morning exploring Alnmouth then had to the Alnwick market and stop at Bamburgh Castle and the village of Ford on the way back to Edinburgh, but after finding out about the raft race in Alnmouth we changed our plans.  Instead, I spent a bit of time in the garden of Alnmouth golf course, then headed into Alnmouth for a walk on the beach.  Then we went to Alnmouth Dunes on the otherside of the estuary, before headed to Warkworth.  

We went to Warkworth Castle and had lunch at a lovely new cafe in town.  We went back to Alnmouth for the raft race and then headed back to Edinburgh.  We had a great day.  I included some extra photos of our adventures.
