Taps Oan!

A great night at the women's classification (ranking) games tonight.

Trinidad and Tobago defended valiantly but lost to Wales. Then a faster more flowing match between Canada and Malaysia. Some great skills on display and some hard and fast shots. One of the Malaysian players was badly injured and had to be stretchered off.

But a late equaliser led to a penalty shoot out in which Malaysia dominated and Canada seemed poorly prepared. Malaysia's goalie was thrown in the air by her team, deservedly so.

Despite the often heavy rain the crowds were great, the Clydesiders positive and helpful, the security team good fun ("remember to place all your knives, machetes and guns in the tray!"). Travel was smooth and easy.

The injuries and shoot out meant a very late return home. But one of the displays made us smile. As the rain swept in the large TV put up a rain sign with the message "Taps Oan!". Only on Glasgow :-)
