Now, as I see it......

Leighton Buzzard Railway

The Leighton Buzzard Railway is my nearest 'heritage' railway. It is a 24 inch (610 mm) narrow gauge railway originally opened in 1919 to service the nearby sand quarries, and used to carry passengers since 1968. Normally they don't operate through the week but I noticed this morning that they were running today, presumably because of the school holidays, so I went over to take a few pictures. This engine is 'P.C. Allen', originally built to run at a chemical works in Torrelavega, Spain, and imported to the UK in 1963. There are a few more pictures here if you are interested.
