A terrace view ...
... and still the watering goes on.
At last there is starting to be a bit of colour in the garden. These plants were put in to try and counter some of the austerity of our new terrace. They have taken a fair time to get going but are now just beginning to grow properly. It will be great when the climber reaches the terrace proper and start providing a bit of shade, if the sun is ever to come out properly!
Otherwise we spent a fair bit of time today taming the new terraces. I can't think of a better design than that of brambles to cause pain to those who try and cut them out. Good however to discover a set of stone steps that probably hadn't been used in decades but were still in very good condition. Not so good to discover holes in walls that will need rebuilding.
Highlight of the day was Darling Son #2 cooking dinner and using his new found skills to produce excellent sautéed potatoes.
